I am trying to configure a new layer by adding a cascading WMS. I have created a Workspace but when I try to create the store I get the following message:
The WMS store could not be saved. Failure message: Error persisting WMSStoreInfoImpl[http://192.168.1.9:8998/?request=GetMap] to /usr/local/tomcat/webapps/geoserver/data/workspaces/GoogleWMS-2/http:/192.168.1.9:8998/?request=GetMap/wmsstore.xml Even though the message indicates that the store could not be saved, after I click Cancel, the store I was trying to create is present in the listing of stores. I proceeded to create a new layer, but when I try to save the new layer I get the following message: Error persisting WMSLayerInfoImpl[GOOGLE_MAPS] to /usr/local/tomcat/webapps/geoserver/data/workspaces/GoogleWMS-2/http:/192.168.1.9:8998/?request=GetMap/GOOGLE_MAPS/wmslayer.xml After I cancel out of the layer definition, the layer list does not include my layer; however, if I try to define it again I get message indicating that the layer already exists. Furthermore, I can not remove the store because it is not empty. Any assistance I can get will be appreciated.
