Hello Luis,
You need to set the WMS getCapabilities URL in the constructor field of
gwcWMSConfig bean. I am assuming you are running separate instance of
geowebcache not the one bundled with GeoServer. Please download the latest
version of geowebcache and try. It should work.

Subject: Re: [Geoserver-users] Help with GeoWebCache

Hello again,

The last replies to these messages were cryptic to me, but I've tried
a few other things meanwhile. I'm using Geoserver 2.0.0 in my
workstation on Ubuntu 10.04; I'm also managing six other Geoserver
2.0.0 instances at six different servers on Debian 64-bits, so I went
trying GWC in one of these servers. The results are exactly the same:
trying GWC out of the box I get the "400 Bad Request" message; then,
including the GEOSERVER_WMS_URL parameter pointing to the 8090 port in
the web.xml file I get the "OperationNotSupported" message.

Hence this has nothing to do with OS or installation, it is a problem
restricted to either Geoserver or GWC. Can someone please try GWC with
Geoserver running at port 8090?

Would an update to Geoserver 2.0.2, solve anything? My hunch is this
being an issue with GWC, is the bundled version with Geoserver 2.0.2
any different from version 2.0.0?

Thank you once more,

Luís
