The validation module has been basically dropped due to lack of interest, in
the last few years
no dev has ever needed it and almost no user asked for it (I think I
remember one or two questions
in the last five years).
The source code is still there but it's not working because it lacks the
implementation of a transaction
listener (plus the fact nobody used it in years, so there is likely might be
more fixes/changes needed).
It's certainly possible to resuscitate it, or write a newer, more modern
version based on the concepts
in the old validation module, but it looks like the work or a few days if
not weeks.
