I just tried to preview a layer from a postgis datastore. the data come from a table created from shp2pgsql command
/usr/lib/postgresql/9.0/bin/shp2pgsql -W LATIN1 -cDIk -s 4326 $filename $tableName | psql -d $database -U $username; In my table I just have 1 row.
