Hi Ragnvald,
If you are running 2.1-RC2 you will need to grab a nightly build of the
monitoring plugin from the 2.1.x nightly build, rather than trunk.
http://gridlock.opengeo.org/geoserver/2.1.x/
Try that and let me know how it goes. Ivan recently verified that it works.
IT might be the trunk extension is missing some required libs. I will have
to look into it.
