Hi Ivan, Yeah, this is exactly the thing that can make the extension powerful.
The extension is hooked up to the filter function system... so it is possible to write a filter function in python and have it usable in an sld or a wfs query, etc... although admittedly I have not tested it thoroughly and don;t have many examples around. But I did a simple test where i wrote a buffer filter function in python and referenced it in a geometry transform in an SLD and it worked.
