Hi, I had the same problem a few weeks ago. You have to change line 273 in gdal_retile.py to this: print "Building internal Index for %d tile(s) ..." % len(inputTiles),
I got it from somewhere but didn't save the page. It's related to the support of multiple python versions of the FWTools. If you change the line everything is fine for the version which comes with the FWTools.
