Hi,
I have setup Geoserver 2.1 in tomcat 6.0.20 and have published some JP2K layers
as ImageMosaics. Something that I have noticed in the geoserver logging is that
when I start tomcat, the with the first WMS GetMap for a layer shows every
image in the layer being read. After that it seems fine. While this isn't that
big of deal with a layer composed of a few files, it is when there are several
hundred or thousands of files, as it takes a long time for the server to
respond to the initial request. I didn't notice this in 2.0.
Is this a known problem? And is there something that can be done to avoid this?
