We started a project on github to help use generate SLD's from a python script. It consists of a file with several classes (sld.py) that are used from the scripts polygons.py and highway.py. Currently we are working on setting up more complex ogc:Filters, because we require them for filtering bridges and complex relations from our postgis/openstreetmap database.
