We have around 10 polygon layers (exotic forest, native forest, lakes etc) combined to form single background layer for maps. Is it best to leave these as 10 separate shapefiles/postgis tables, or combine into one shapefile/postgis table (with a 'type' attribute)? I.e 10 'small' tables with 10 small sld's, or one big table with one long sld.
