It is adviced not to take this approach:

- The Well-known ports: 0–1023 are conceptually "reserved", don't
touch them if you don't have to.
- the jetty server shipped with geoserver is not meant for a
production environment, better would be to use websphere, tomcat or a
full jetty server in a production environment.
