Hi all I run Geoserver 2.1 on win2003 server with tomcat 5.5. For caching purpose, I am actually testing geowebcache in geoserver.
Everything works fine so far, but if I request the getcapability xml from geowebcache under geoserver, gewebcache publishes the IP adresse instead of the external server name. Besides, the IP address is the internal address which is only valid in the DMZ. Is there a way to specify the server name for external use of the service analog to geoserver, where i can define the Proxy Base URL (in Global settings) for Geowebcache? I found a similar thread, where it is recommended to use "mod_proxy" with "ProxyPreserveHost On" Since I run other applications on that server, I would prefer to avoid mod_proxy and use the workers connection of geoserver with apache. So is there a way to configure a base_url für geowebcache?
