Hi,

I'm having some problems with layers of an Oracle datastore configured in
GeoServer 2.1.1.

After opening a few layers and executing some GetFeatureInfo requests by
clicking on the map, I receive this error:
Internal error occurred java.io.IOException null
ORA-29902: error in executing ODCIIndexStart() routine
ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_INDEX_METHOD_10I", line 333

This looks a lot like this issue:
http://osgeo-org.1803224.n2.nabble.com/what-is-the-maximum-open-cursors-recommended-for-geoserver-td6126667.html
, which should be solved by adding the "Max open prepared statements"
parameter to the Oracle store configuration (
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-3727).
For the Oracle store we use, this parameter is set to the 50 (= default).
The maximum number of open cursors on the database is 300.

Before, we used GeoServer 1.7.7 to connect to the same database and we
didn't ran into this problem.

Any idea how we can solve this problem?

Best regards,
Tim VdB.
