Yeah, another user kindly contributed a patch back at the end of 2010 but I did not have time to look to it, then forgot about it, and found it again a few months later and thought it was still a good time to apply it, many users tend to wait a few patch releases before using GeoServer (and it would have affected only people using commas among the params, something I thought was unlikely): http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4184 > Is a new release expected anytime soon? I'll update the docs accordingly for it as well. It's really easy. Say you have a sql view and you need to show dynamically different portions of the view with different colors. Or that you need to use the same parameter in different views. Before the patch you would have had to force the client to make multiple requests, create overlays, with this one you can have the same layer repeated multiple times in a request and pass each instance of it a different set of parameters (a similar reasoning applies to a situation where you have the same param in different views, maybe because you're following certain naming conventions) Cheers Andrea -- ------------------------------------------------------- Ing.
