A cascaded layer is queriable only if the remote server supports gml format for the GetFeatureInfo call, we need a feature type like structure in order to run our GetFeatureInfo code (html templates and the like) so text or html won't do. At least not easily, with some explicit wms cascading support in our GetFeatureInfo code we could try and cascade even txt and html, but it's not trivial to implement.
