Hello,

When I try to export layers of raster data (GeoTIFF) to some of the
formats available in the export list, I get strange behaviour. Viewing
the layer with OpenLayers works; the image is visible. But exporting
to, for example, PNG, PDF or GeoTIFF gives a white image, a black
image or an image which resembles the original, but then too light to
see it clearly. The behaviour is inconsistent; I can not find any
specific GeoTIFFs that always work. However, exporting to JPEG seems
to work. Since I am a beginner with GeoServer (and Web Map Services in
general), I am busy to understand GeoServer but could not explain the
difference between exporting and viewing in OpenLayers.

I hope to get some help from you. When I am giving not enough
information for you to be able to solve the problem, please ask; as I
said, I am not experienced in this software.

Thanks in advance,

Chris Wouters
