Greetings

I have one question tregarding how Geoserver generates KML files for 
layers: Since KML data must be in EPSG:4326 and my data is not in that 
system, what is geoserver doing to generate KML? Reprojecting data to 
EPSG:4326 and then generating KML or diretcly converting to KML 
coordinates without reprojecting?
