Well, it does not really go like that :-)
During the week everything you see me do (besides answering the mails,
that is), is
actually paid by directly by some customer asking for that
functionality or indirectly via some project we have to ship.
Saturday and Sunday I take some time to review patches that people
contribute, review other developer's work
as needed, play with some stuff and see if there is any critical bug
to solve (e.g., something that really affects
the majority of users).
