Hi
I tried the feature from latest nightly build and have a question: is there
any plan to create automatically by GeoServer a default identifier for each
layer?
I think should be a nice feature, for example to use in REST API to be able
to identify the layers by the identifier instead of layer name. Now the
creation of identifiers seem optional, if at least a default identifier is
created by GeoServer applications relying in REST API or GetCapabilities
doc can be sure that each layer has at least one identifier.
Not sure if this fits in the actual AuthorityURL and Identifier feature or
should be better managed in other way?
Thanks for support.
