So I guess you are using the Eclipse maven plugin?
That never worked well for me (trying to load the 100+ geotools projects
with it kills Eclipse),
so I don't have much of an experience to share, but the plugin it's
complaining about was
made for Maven 2, while the Eclipse maven integration works with maven 3,
so I believe
the two are incompatible
