Hi,

I believe there is not one single thing to look at if you want to know what
versions WFS service is supporting by doing GetCapabilities without version
number. WFS 1.0.0 does not show it anywhere. With WFS 1.1.0 and 2.0 the
<ows:ServiceTypeVersion> seems to be usable, and both them do also list
AcceptVersiona within GetCapabilities. In addition, WFS 2.0 seems to have a
separate "version" element which contains list of AllowedValues. I do not see
that deegree3 demo site lists supported versions separately with GetFeature
etc. Perhaps you were looking at the higher level "version" element. It would
also be rather an odd service which would support WFS 2.0 for GetCapabilities
but not for anything else.

If you want to check is service supports WFS 2.0 I believe the most simple way
is to ask it directly with GetCapabilities&version=2.0. If server does not
support version 2.0 it will send an error.
