We have found some problems with the way the GeoTools encoder handles restrictions. I think Rini just submitted a patch for the order of properties defined using a restriction, but I don't think I have ever tried this with an attribute. Rini?
How are you specifying the value? As a literal? Please ensure that it is enclosed on single quotes to ensure that it is not interpreted as a CQL expression. The compiled definition for the GML type looks reasonable. Justin?
