The WMS specification supports a few chosen projections that are dynamic, the AUTO (WMS 1.1) and AUTO2 (WMS 1.3) projections, where the code is followed normally by the central meridian and central parallel. These projections are: auto:42001 -> Universal Transverse Mercator auto:42002 -> Auto Transverse Mercator auto:42003 -> Auto Orthographic auto:42004 -> Auto Equirectangular auto:42005 -> Auto Mollweide (not actually supported by GeoServer right now) > And if yes, how would you define a projection defined along the following > lines.. This one is not part of the supported auto projections, by writing new code in the geotools gt-referencing module it's definitely be possible to support one of the various polar stereographic variants in the AUTO fashion, the code should probably stay away from the 4200x range since that's used by OGC Cheers Andrea -- Ing.
