Quite likely. I don't know for sure, but if I had to guess I'd say there has
been an upgrade to Java 7 that deleted your Java 6 install, leaving
only a few mostly empty folders around.
My guess is that the java service wrapper needs to be re-configured or
reinstalled. An easy way might be to uninstall GeoServer, and then
reinstall it (make sure to backup the data dir before doing so).
