Hello All,
I think I might have found a rendering bug that seems to only be a
problem when using the mercator projection. I have been working on a map
client for the last couple of weeks, and points/labels seem to render
incorrectly only when using the mercator projection.

There are three study villages; Ruvu Mferejini, Vudee, and Bangalala --
all the labels appear just fine when the map loads:
1. Zoom *in* one level, and you will see the labels for Bangalala and
Ruvu disappear, also the purple diamond for Vudee gets cut off at
the bottom (where the tile ends).
2. Now, zoom in once more, now you will see Bangalala appear again,
but Ruvu is still missing
3. Zoom in once more... now all the labels are back, and the diamond
is rendered properly.
This client is currently using GeoWebCache (since its already in use),
but when I change the services to go directly go GeoServer (non-cached)
-- the problem still exists. When this is done (using non-cached) it
seems to be inconsistent (different labels disappear, different diamonds
get cut off, etc). I had to rebuild caches multiple times till I got
what was least problematic.
This does not happen when using WGS84. All the labels, and points render
perfectly fine no matter what the zoom level is. Sadly I cannot provide
two version of the client to demonstrate this but when viewing the
layers on the preview pages on both GeoServer and GeoWebCache there are
absolutely no problems with the rendering of any of the features with WSG84.
As some last samples, here are links to the GWC demos for both layers
using both projections. I understand that this is cached... but I cannot
find any other quick way to have you guys preview this issue:
