Hi List,
What data does Heron store about the individual layers? For example when
I did my patch for 164, I had to get the layer names for the features out
of the original declaration.

So my question is - does Heron have a nice single data-structure listing
all of the layers and their attributes/values?

I was envisaging it containing something like:

*GetCapabilities information*
 - Queryability, bounding box, name, title, abstract, format, keywords, etc.

*Heron user-defined information*
 - name, baselayer or not, featurequeryformat, etc.

*Current state information*
 - Whether its active, current opacity, etc.

Any other layer specific information that may be of use.

I imagine all this data is accessible currently, but via a series of
disparate data structures objects/arrays. Putting it in one structure would
probably make things easier and more consistent for future development.
How is this data currently held?

Jonathan
