Dear all, I can add that this problem occurs on GeoServer 2.3.1 running on Ubuntu, Tomcat7 (Oracle 1.7.0_21 Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM) retrieving data from PostGIS 2.0. We upgraded our application from GeoServer 2.1 running on Ubuntu, Tomcat6 and PostGIS 1.5 and this problem does not occur with this configuration. This is the log file output:
