right now we don't have enough of them to support a Java 7 specific build
server, but more importantly,
not enough developer time to look into Java 7 specific issues with any
timeliness.
So, who is going to step up and help? Many things can be done, but we need
to find the people that
help making them reality.
Otherwise we are going to have to wait for Java 7 to become the one and
only supported version,
at which point GeoServer will not run on Java 6 anymore. Honestly, I
haven't seen any enterprise
related software (e..g, Spring, Hibernate) make that move yet.
