Chiming in late on this one.
When it comes to cluster synchronization the jdbconfig module only solves
part of the problem, and the synchronization problem pops up elsewhere,
most notably in the ResourcePool. It is not a problem for adding new
configuration objects but is a problem for updating existing ones.
For instance consider changing the configuration of an existing data store.
Even though every node in the cluster will see the changed configuration
the next time they access that store they won't know it changed so won't
know to expire the cached resource for it.
The only way I have seen this effectively solved is with the addition of a
messaging/synchronization component that nodes in the cluster use to
broadcast change events to the rest of the cluster.
