Hi Mike and Christian,

I am having the same problem with 32bit rasters as Mike experienced. I did
attempt to fix it by using a different BufferedImage constructor as
Christian suggested, which allowed me to get past the
imageComposerThread.getStartImage() issue, however, now rescaleImage is
producing a blank image for me.

I tried to work around that by creating BufferedImage differently in the
AbstractThread.rescaleImage() method, but perhaps I am doing something
incorrectly because Graphics2D.drawImage() appears to produce an image
filled with '0' values.

Any suggestions would be welcome!

Thanks,
Nataliya
