I am trying to steep GeoServer/GWC to serve out my data as TMS tiles. I am using the provided GWC that come with GeoServer. I have enabled TMS Service in the 'Caching Defaults' section. However when I hook up a map to my TMS url I do not get back any data, i.e. all of the tiles are blank.
2 questions, 1. My data (shapfile) is in a different projection than the TMS cache I want to create. I.E. my data is in EPSG:4326 and I want to serve out TMS tiles in EPSG:3857. Will this work? I have added EPSG:3857 grid set to the layer and I see that EPSG:3857 is available for TMS so it looks like it should work. 2. Do I need to generate the TMS cache before I start requesting tiles? Or will the tiles get generated/cached on the fly when I make a TMS request?
