Hi I have loaded the shp file using the curl as given here

http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/rest/examples/curl.html

but problem is the layer is automatically created with same name as the shp
filename. By appending the "?configure=none" at end of URL I have managed to
stop the auto publishing of layer. Now when I upload a shp file, a store is
created in geoserver.

But when I try to create a layer, I have to use the layer name in curl
command which is same as shp filename.

but if I create the layer from geoserver GUI, I can change the name of the
layer and layer is published with that name. How can I do that using cURL.

Any help..

Regards
