No I cannot try with 1.1.0 because it is an external organisation that does not
want to change it because it works for other applications.
Did your change had something to do with namespace?

It is a MapServer WFS that doesn't use a namespace before the FeatureType Name.

I did some fix to mapserver support in the past, but it was mainly related to
the 1.1.0 version of the protocol. Does your mapserver support WFS 1.1.0? Did
you try with this version too?
