* open a feature request at http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS
* if you have development abilities, going geoserver-devel and start
discussing
the changes you want to make, if you have avialable funds, look into the
commercial support http://geoserver.org/display/GEOS/Commercial+Support,
otherwise... sit back and wait ;-)
