I have GeoServer deployed to a remote server. I have an external data directory that I update frequently with GIS data from my development environment and move to the remote server.
I also have an aerial imagery pyramid layer in my data directory. When I copy my development data directory to the remote server I don't want to copy the aerial imagery more often than I need to. Is there a way I can separate my aerial imagery from my GeoServer Data Directory? Maybe have two GeoServer directories, one that gets updated frequently and quickly without the imagery, and one that houses the imagery? Am I thinking about this the wrong way?
