Hi Rodrigo,
When using Layer-Preview page, you're most likely making a request of the
GeoServer WMS.
The URL will be something like:
www.example.com/geoserver/wms?service=WMS...

However, when you use the tile-Cache page, you're making a request of the
integrated GWC I think:
www.example.com/geoserver/gwc/service/wms?service=WMS...

The later does the caching, the former not so much. Or at least that would
seem to be how it works to me.
