Is there a way to force a (Image Mosaic Pluign) Coverage Store to provide
band names that aren't tied to specific colors? I am using GeoTIFF to hold
different raster values in different bands, but the data aren't used to
form any images ... they are just data to which a ColorMap is applied, etc.
However, if I have less than 5 or so bands, the store insists on naming the
bands based on colors ... "GRAY_INDEX" .... "RED_INDEX" ... "GREEN_INDEX"
... and so forth.
However, this doesn't represent the data at all ... and is just plain
confusing in a GetFeatureInfo request.
My preference would be to be able to name these bands to what they
represent ... but at the least I would at least like to have them named
Band1, Band2, etc.
Is this possible?
