I have logged this as a bug https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-6596
I was wrong about the '-Dorg.geoserver.wms.featureinfo.render.enabled=false ' switch fixing the problem. Date: Mon, 21 Jul 2014 08:59:03 +0100 From: "Thomas Colley" <[email protected]> Subject: [Geoserver-users] point rendering on tile edge To: <[email protected]> Hi There seems to be an issue introduced with the new feature rendering engine in 2.5 that causes point symbols to be cropped if they cross the edge of a requested tile. Below are comparisons between 2.5.1 and an older version. 2.4.x http://oi57.tinypic.com/2mmsegz.jpg 2.5.x http://oi62.tinypic.com/2rnv5zb.jpg Using -Dorg.geoserver.wms.featureinfo.render.enabled=false to disable the new renderer also fixed the problem. I was just wondering if this is a known issue or whether I should open a bug report?
