Ciao Simone,

No problem, the imagery (source) is open data from the Dutch OpenTopo
project: http://opentopo.nl. Some GeoTIFFs at [1]:

The original TIFFs are generated from a QGIS project by the author JW
van Aalst, and available for download, e.g. here [2]:

I use GDAL recipes [3]+worldfiles [4] to generate GeoTIFFs like [1].
This script [3] transforms a source dir with original tiffs to a
destination dir. There may be something there that gives some issue,
like extracting just 3 bands? This encoding gave good results on
GeoServer 2.4.3, blurred after 2.6.1 upgrade, and ok again in 2.6.2 only
after setting ENABLE_ADVANCED_PROJECTION=false.

The resulting tiff-dir gets added as an ImageMosaic source in GS.
So easiest is to use these result-TIFFs [1]. Once we are sure that the
encoding is "right" we will use these as a more compressed and better
geotagged download format as well. Just noticed the Paul Ramsey blog on
GeoTIFF compression [5].

Best,

Just
