The only difference between your kosmo request and mine (apart from
namespaces and server url) is in the following lines:

<gml:MultiLineString xmlns:gml="http://www.opengis.net/gml";
srsName="urn:x-ogc:def:crs:EPSG:4326" srsDimension="3">
<gml:lineStringMember>
<gml:LineString xmlns:gml="http://www.opengis.net/gml";
srsName="urn:x-ogc:def:crs:EPSG:4326" srsDimension="3">
<gml:posList srsDimension="3"> -42.92 147.36 -9999

<gml:MultiLineString srsName="EPSG:4326">
<gml:lineStringMember>
<gml:LineString srsName="EPSG:4326">
<gml:coordinates>11.472,43.311

I used the demo request tool with the same requests found in the kosmo
log and I could insert a new feature and update an existing geometry.

Errata corrige: I can still add new features, I was using a wrong value
for an attribute.

Can it be a misconfiguration of roles/security? I didn't change anything
over there.

Thank you
