Hi Simone, hi Daniele,
with the test files i configured another ImageMosaic store and raster layer
with "STACK" merge behaviour and i could again verify that the result always
represents the first file, that was collected from the mosaic plugin. A look at
the geotools logging suggests, that the order in which the plugin collects
files seems to follow no specific rule:
- Adding to mosaic granule

You mentioned that STACKing only works for different dimensions. Would that
rule out any chance to create the desired effect with render transformations,
as Daniele suggested? I really need to get this working and i am willing to do
some coding for it, though i would prefer another configurable solution if
possible (render transformation). Please point me to the direction which is
more likely to result in the desired effect. When there is no way around
modifying the code, i will open the requested Improvement Issue in JIRA and
try to throw some effort to it.
Cheers,Marc
