Again, as I said in the other thread, could you please provide us the
gdalinfo output of this geotiff?
I think that gdal is doing some processing operation on the input NITF.

Could you please provide the gdalinfo output for both the original NITF and
the produced GeoTIFF?

it knows where the corners are in lat long space, so why is this
