More detail would have helped (e.g. what version of file geodatabase you are using, what version of geoserver, and what you've tried / done), but in general I'd do the conversion to something more standard using gdal (see http://www.gdal.org/drv_filegdb.html) and when you are happy that the conversion is working, then import that into geoserver.
