Hi,

I use the geoserver REST API to automatically create layers from my
application. My layer data is stored in an oracle database, so I use the
ImageMosaicJDBC plugin for data access.

To create a new ImageMosaicJDBC -raster layer I need to add a new datastore
on geoserver, where I have to specify the path of the xml-configuration-file
(e.g. file: data\...\layer.xml, where the database connection, table, etc.
are defined).

Is there a way to create that xml-file with the geoserver REST API?
Otherwise I have to upload somehow a xml file to the webserver, but it would
be nice if there is a more elegant way using the REST API to pass the
content of the xml-configuration-file? Thanks.
