I honestly don't know, my company has been working in production deploys for
basically all past
versions and I did not receive reports of this particular issue... wondering if
it needs some special trigger.
What we need here is a simple reproducable case, a few small raster data sets
and a request showing the problem.
Given there seems to be no one sponsoring a fix, it's particuarly important to
at least have a very quick way
to reproduce to the developer that might be willing to crush his/her spare time
on it
