That sounds impressive, there are two alternatives to SLD in the mix:
- YSLD - community module in GeoServer (YAML representation of SLD)
- CSS - extension in GeoServer
You can convert from your existing SLD to YSLD and carry on work, it also
provides opportunities to reuse sections of your style. We recently ran a
workshop at foss4gna using YSLD, and hope to have it ready for wider use in
GeoServer 2.10.
