Hi,
transparency control in WMS/SLD is up to the client, there are (presently)
no ways to force
a transparent background by means of styling.
That could be added as a vendor option I presume, however that would also
break standard
compliance, the WMS protocol states TRANSPARENT is optional, and if left
out, it defaults
to false.
However, most editors should add transparent=true when requesting wms
layers as overlays.
Did you find one or more that do not?
