Can you provide some more information about this "images transformation"
topic? are you applying some math in a style or are you applying some
query/view on the DB?
Depending on your answer, the ImageMosaic plugin may satisfy your need.
(with respect to imageMosaic-jdbc, on imageMosaic, data files are kept on
disk whilst the DB only contains the catalog/reference to them)
