Yep, that's my understand too.
Note: Looking at the docs, for 2.6 (which you're crossing through) there's
something about GeoJSON to be aware of:

I believe that's still the procedure, though it's of course best to keep the
old setup files (or an entirely separate server-image, whichever's easiest)
around for at least a week or so until you're sure you're clear of any issues.
