Hi Andrea,
Thanks for your answer !
I will submit/propose a code change for that feature, making it
configurable. For now, my strategy is to modify the client app (powered by open
layers) to query the WMS capabilities and then it will handle replacement layer
for unavailable Time entries.Cheers,
Emeric

I'm in the process of migrating our GeoServer installation to a new server
and I'm trying to duplicate the URLs our users have saved in My Places in
Google Earth.

I'm finding that the old URLs don't work until I add "mode=refresh" to the
old URLs.

I'm using Geoserver version 2.8.4 on the new server. The Default Reflector
Mode is set to "refresh" under KML Options in the WMS settings in GeoServer.

I'd like the old URLs to work as before so that the users don't have to
recreate their My Places in Google Earth.

Can you replicate on a supported version of GeoServer? 2.8.x has been out of
support for around a year now, you should try out 2.11.1 instead.

What version were you using before?

Cheer

Subject: [Geoserver-users] Blank Tiles with image mosaic
Message-ID: <[email protected]>
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8"

Hi all,
I'm using the image mosaic plugin for a multi-temporal geotiff dataset along
with WMS time management.
Everything works fine, though i get some blank tiles when i request some
unregistered date/time parameters.I made some tests by removing source granules
geotiff files, but the same is happening.
My goal is to catch an exception instead of blank tiles, so that i can display
a custom image when the granule is not avalaible.
I noticed a parameter in the indexer.properties file : CanBeEmpty which is
supposed to be false by default, but changing it doesn't seem to change
anything on the behaviour.Help would be appreciated !

My environment :
-Geoserver 2.11.0-Tomcat 7
Best Regards,
Emeric

Hi,
dimension support in GeoServer is really just a different way of setting a
(CQL) filter in the request, so when
a time does not match anything in the database, you get a blank.
In order to get a different behavior, you must contribute a code change
(procedure here
https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md ) or have
someone do it for you ( http://geoserver.org/support/ ), possibly making it
configurable
in order to avoid backwards compatibility issues for those upgrading.

Cheers
Andrea
